Each year, hundreds of volunteers join forces with Newark residents and the New Jersey Tree Foundation to dig holes, plant trees, lay mulch, and have fun at tree planting events. Why not add your name to the list? To volunteer or for more information, contact Elena at 609.439.1755 or by email.

All tree planting events are held rain or shine. Volunteers are asked to arrive no later than 9am and can arrive as early as 8:15 am to help set up for the event. Events typically run until noon.

Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty. NJ Tree Foundation staff will be on site to provide gloves, tools, water, and a hands-on planting demonstration.
