IMG_2185Yolanda Marin stands with her tree in North Camden. In the spring, it boasts bright white flowers. Yolanda is a life-long Camden resident who loves plants and gardening. She is known locally for her ability to plant the most amazing and colorful combinations of flowers in front of her home.

Camden’s Mayor Dana Redd has been a champion of trees since day one! She organized a tree planting in her own community of Fairview and she attends several tree plantings a year to help residents beautify the places they call home. Thank you, Mayor Redd!

This tree is a symbol of hope for tomorrow.”

 

 

 

 

 

Juanita Butler organized her tree planting in the Whitman Park neighborhood of Camden when she was 84 years old. She loves to decorate her tree for IMG_2191the holidays. “This decorated tree brings color, life, beauty to our neighborhood,” she explained.

 

IMG_2194Volunteering with the New Jersey Tree Foundation has been one of my life’s best experiences. I have done a lot of volunteering, but this gig brings instant results. Where else can you participate in the transformation of a block of row homes in just three hours?” – Tina Louise, volunteer
