Launching the A Community Thrives Challenge!
The NJ Tree Foundation is very excited to let you know that we are a part of the A Community Thrives Challenge. It’s a friendly fundraising campaign launched by USA Today where organizations compete to raise the most money with the top teams winning weekly prize cash donations.
It starts Monday March 18th at 12pm and runs through Friday April 12th at 11:59pm. Each week the organizations with the most donations will get bonus matches of up to $5,000 from USA Today!

Our Renaissance Trees Program, which traditionally has focused its tree planting efforts in Newark, held a community-based tree planting in Irvington in November. We planted 32 trees around the Chancellor Avenue Elementary School and Park Place Apartments. Principal Jackson, who coordinated a tree planting event at a Newark school with us in 2009, was very excited to work with the NJ Tree Foundation again! Read more

NJ Tree Foundation Celebrates Arbor Day
Riverton, NJ, Friday April 28th – The NJ Tree Foundation joined the New Jersey Forest Service and Borough of Riverton for the official state Arbor Day Celebration on Friday, April 28th. The day before, the NJ Tree Foundation’s Green Streets Program planted 30 trees of varying species to mark Riverton’s 30th anniversary as a Tree City USA. Read more
NJ Tree Foundation & Partners to Host Tree Planting on Opening Day for Trails
March 26, 2018 – Camden, NJ – On Saturday April 7th, the NJ Tree Foundation will celebrate its first Camden tree planting of the spring season and the national celebration of the start of the spring trail season, Opening Day for Trails, by planting 10 trees at Cooper’s Poynt Waterfront Park and 11 trees in the surrounding area.
